Myth vs Truth

There are many myths about the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing. I will try to eradicate most of the myths about them in good time.

One of the myths is that the Deaf do not have language. Incorrect.

The Deaf , like any minority and any people do posses a language that is visual rather than oral and/or written. It is known as Sign Language. And as there are different countries in this planet we share with them, there are different Sign Languages. Along with Sign Language, the Deaf also utilize an alphabet that is unique to the country they live in. It is called Manual Alphabet. And every different country has its own Manual Alphabet.

The image above is the Armenian Manual Alphabet.
